East Gate Bookshop awarded Best Bookshop in Devon

On Thursday 27th July, we dusted off our best clothes, (and ourselves) and caught the train to Margoux in Exeter to collect our Muddy Stilettos award for Best Bookshop in Devon

We were absolutely delighted to win this award and had a lovely time chatting to the Muddy Stilettos team and the other award winners from all over Devon

Huge thanks to the Muddy team for running such a positive competition and hosting us all so well. We were humbled that so many people voted for us - so if you did, thank you so much. After eighteen months of very hard work, it meant so much to win this award.
You can discover all the other Muddy Devon winners here. We didn’t get chance to talk to everyone, but great to see local businesses, Sharpham Cheese, 55a in Totnes and Pennywell Farm were also winners.
There are many Devon businesses, all trying to get by in often difficult conditions; if you get the chance, go pay them a visit - we would love to see you in the bookshop.
